I can hardly believe it myself, but the time has finally come: the EWA website is live! After months of work, tinkering and reworking, I am proud to present to you what we have achieved. So once again – a warm welcome to EWA and to europeanwolfdogsandwolfalikes.com!
As you may have already read on the homepage, the EWA stands for ethics, knowledge, and exchange. And these three pillars are also represented on the website.
Ethics, knowledge, exchange
Our ethical framework is based on the Statutes and the Code of Ethics. In addition, transparency in all areas is important to us. That is why we provide a lot of information about us and our dogs for members or even for the public.
But knowledge sharing is at the very heart of this website! Although the seminars are only open to our members, a great deal of knowledge, experience and know-how also flows into our blog articles. In case you’re wondering what exactly a blog is: blogs are like a ‘private newspaper’ that is published on a website. The articles posted there are more detailed than you might know from social media posts, for example, but mostly just as personal and individual. Our blog is our platform for sharing special topics, announcements or events with you. You can always find the latest blog articles directly on the homepage!
The EWA Blog
You can find an overview of all our articles on the Blog page. The articles are divided into different topics: Community, Newsletter and Knowledge („Wissen“). Each category has its own icon, so you can immediately see what kind of post it is. If you click on the icon, you will be taken directly to an overview of all articles in that category.
The newsletter will keep you informed about everything concerning the club and its members. New registrations, breeding approvals, litter announcements or other news will be shared with you here.
The Community section contains everything that affects our members themselves. This can be events as well as introductions to our breeders and members.
The Knowledge category will gradually be filled with articles on various topics related to Wolfdogs and wolfalikes. Many topics are too long or complex for a simple Instagram post, but not complex enough for a whole seminar – so they are perfect for an exciting blog article! We will gradually take up many aspects here that have never been properly explained before. Some of them are already in the starting blocks: for example, Lisa has prepared a whole series of posts for you on the subject of embark and coat colours. I will also be posting a few more articles on family trees and breeding coefficients. So, stay tuned for more exciting content!

If you are interested in our blog, you can either follow us on social media (all new blog articles are always linked there!) or, if you’re not that type, you can subscribe to the RSS feed (if you don’t know what that is or how to do it, here are instructions).
You can probably already see this: under each blog article, there is a bit more information about the author. You should know who is talking out of the box here! If you are interested in the topic, you can also find other posts by the respective author or posts on similar topics there. As an EWA member, you also have the option to use the form to send your question about the article directly to the author. It’s quick and easy!
I, for one, am very much looking forward to chatting with you about exciting topics, preparing information and constantly developing and sharing new things with you. And I know that the other EWA authors feel the same way! In the future, we will also try to involve guest authors and encourage active members to write.Do you fancy it too?
