After much research our litter is planned for the beginning of 2026: Our self-raised, 3-year-old girl Mio from our first litter (Samurai-Litter) will become mother for the first time!
As potential father of the puppies we have again decided for a Dutch Deckrüden: Rover. From this promising mating we expect G3-Tamaskan Dogs, that means the third generation with confirmed Tamaskan pedigree and tested ancestors.
We are very much looking forward to this special time and the development of the puppies!

TamaskanFor this particular mating, we have once again opted for a Dutch stud dog: Rover. The Dutch Tamaskan Club has made a name for itself over the years through its consistent and well thought-out selection of breeding dogs. We were particularly impressed by the standardised character tests, which focus on temperament and social compatibility. Of course, this is no guarantee, but it is a valuable tool for finding suitable dogs for our breeding goals.
Rover is a 7-year-old Tamaskan male who lives with his family in the Netherlands. We particularly appreciate his calm and even-tempered nature, which not only makes him an ideal everyday companion, but also a perfect father for the planned litter. His social skills – be it towards people, children or even conspecifics of the same sex – are remarkable. In addition to his character, Rover also impresses with his looks: his wolfish appearance with a narrow chest, small triangular ears, a dense double coat and strikingly beautiful yellow eyes make him an ideal representative of the Nordic type. His homogeneous family is particularly noteworthy, as his siblings also have a similar appearance and character.
Our girl Mio has completely different, but equally valuable qualities. As a 3-year-old puppy from our very first litter (Samurai-Litter), she has developed into a loving, people-orientated and eager-to-learn companion. Her lively nature – coupled with her Labrador-like eagerness to learn and her motivation through food – makes her a real character. We particularly appreciate Mio’s reliability in many everyday situations: She rides in the car without any problems, can be left alone and runs off the lead in areas with little wildlife. Little quirks such as her penchant for making noises when something is taking too long make her all the more endearing.
We are hoping for puppies from this mating that will impress both in appearance and character. Ideal would be wolf-coloured (agouti) dogs with small, triangular ears and yellow eyes – characteristics that emphasise Rover’s Nordic lineage. The puppies should reach a final height of about 60-68 cm and a weight of 22-30 kg. In terms of character, we want well-balanced dogs that are suitable as family and companion dogs, but at the same time also enjoy pulling dog sports and can therefore become versatile companions.
An equally important focus is on the socialisation and early development of the puppies. All puppies grow up in our house surrounded by our family, so that they are familiarised with everyday noises, people and various environmental influences from the very beginning. From day one, we raise the puppies according to the Puppy Culture philosophy – a specially developed programme for socialising and encouraging puppies during their critical development phase. This programme is based on the puppy setting the pace of development and places great emphasis on positive experiences that promote self-confidence and resilience.
Through targeted exercises and age-appropriate training, puppies learn to deal with new situations and develop confidence in the first few weeks. This foundation is particularly important to us in order to prepare the puppies for their future life as family or companion dogs in the best possible way.
Of course, we would like to emphasise once again that every puppy is an individual. Despite careful planning and selection of the parents, appearance and character can vary within a litter. However, we see this diversity as an enrichment, as it makes each puppy unique. We are already looking forward to seeing the little personalities grow and to supporting them on their way in the best possible way!
We are a small, North German breeding kennel of the unrecognised Tamaskan breed, idyllically situated between the Harz and heathland. We are passionate about breeding healthy, wolf-like dogs that cannot hide their Nordic origins. Our aim is to create companions that are suitable for everyday life, who not only feel at home in the family, but are also enthusiastic about various draught dog sports in the hobby sector. The well-being of our dogs is our top priority – they are beloved family members and fully-fledged partners in all situations. Our family includes Tamaskane Aleu, her daughter Mio from the first litter, son Shippō from the second litter and our senior pug Rocky.
