We are a small, North German breeding kennel of the unrecognised Tamaskan breed, idyllically situated between the Harz and heathland. We are passionate about breeding healthy, wolf-like dogs that cannot hide their Nordic origins. Our aim is to create companions that are suitable for everyday life, who not only feel at home in the family, but are also enthusiastic about various draught dog sports in the hobby sector. The well-being of our dogs is
Breeding goal
Our aim is to breed the Tamaskan in its original ideal form: a wolf-like, athletic dog the size of a sheepdog that cannot deny its Nordic origins. Ideally, our dogs should not only act as companion and family dogs, but should also be able to participate with pleasure in draught dog sports. – Please bear in mind that the Tamaskan is not an officially recognised breed. Each litter – and even each individual puppy – develops its very own temperament and appearance.

We attach great importance to:
Health
We ensure that all breeding animals are comprehensively examined – in accordance with the requirements of the EWA and the Tamaskan breeding regulations and, if necessary, beyond. In order to minimise risks, every mating is carefully planned and the ancestral line is carefully checked. It is equally important for us to get to know potential stud dogs personally to ensure that they meet our high standards.
Structure
Our Tamaskans should be characterised by an athletic, slender build – medium-sized, long-legged and light-footed. They are muscular and defined, without exaggeration. Typical for sled dogs, the drive should come from the hindquarters. These characteristics make them not only visually appealing, but also basically suitable for the sport of pulling.
Temperament
We want to breed dogs that are visually reminiscent of a wolf, but are similar in temperament to Nordic dogs such as Husky or Malamute. They should be friendly, active companions who enjoy hiking and adventures in nature with their families.
Responsibility
Every mating is planned carefully and with a lot of passion. We would rather forego a litter than compromise on health, structure or character.
